Donelson Baseball Home
Sign Ups
We had a great turnout for our first sign up day with over 215 players signing up. We will have an impromptu sign up this coming Thursday night, 2/11/2010 at Hermitage United Methodist Church from 6pm – 8pm. Look for the signs to guide you to the sign ups. We only have two weeks until our draft process, so it is imperative that your child sign up on this Thursday night. You can still sign up online at the Active.com site. Donelson Baseball/Rotary Park has Embarked on a New Era
Donelson Baseball has affiliated with Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth baseball. This affiliation brings new opportunities and improvements to Donelson Baseball, which will improve the sporting experience for all of the youngsters’ in Middle Tennessee. This new affiliation will not affect our regular season recreation league which is and always will be our main focus and concern. Most parents and players will not be aware of the change except for the fact that more players and families will be eligible to participate in our program than ever before. Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth baseball offers the opportunity for all children from Davidson, Sumner, Williamson and Wilson Counties to participate in the Donelson Baseball experience. These players will be offered participation in regular season, fall (instructional) season and All-star season play without restrictions or limitations. Donelson Baseball/Rotary Park will be participating in a program which boasts other programs, such as Brentwood, Franklin, Bellevue, Hendersonville, and Gallatin just to name a few. With this new affiliation we will be able to open up our boundaries, which have been restricted by Little League in the past. This new affiliation will allow all players to participate in one of the best baseball programs in Middle Tennessee. Donelson Baseball/Rotary Park strives to provide a quality and exciting program for all participants. We look forward to another wonderful and exciting season here at Rotary Park and look forward to welcoming any new Ball players to our exceptional program.

Great new site. I love it and the possibilities are endless.
Great site
I think that this offers a lot of opportunities for the league to better represent in All-Star play since there will not have to be and American and National league. At least this is what I understand. This will allow the league to pull the best of the best from all teams represented in the league in their respected age group. This should also increase the number of children to be able to play the great game of baseball in the best park around, Rotary Baseball Park!
I just signed up my 4yr old for spring ball. What ages will he be playing with? Just 4yr olds, or 5 and 6 or what. How is it structured there? Also, is it coach pitch or t-ball. If it is t-ball, is he required to hit from the t or can he be pitched to if we prefer? Thanks so much for any details you can provide. We are very excited about joining as we have many friends who have grown up at Rotary.
If you would like to advertise on our site you can become a sponsor and then your ads will be approved and prominetely placed on our site.
Something from one of our parents that I wanted to share:
Dear Mr. Bollinger:
I wish to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for 6 wonderful seasons at Donelson Little League. You took a chance on Christopher and made him an incredibly stronger person because of it. I can honestly say the teams and the coaches that have made a HUGE impact on Christopher and taught him that he could do so much more than anyone thought he could!!! I have seen and heard a lot of negatives but let me tell you that Joe and I have nothing but the humblest appreciation to you and the board of Donelson Little League. I would also like to acknowledge Mike Ramsey, Charles Hager, Jamie Holloway, Boo Manuel, Mike Westveer, Coach Kyle Frederick, all the Coaches (and players) on the 2008 Minor Brewers, and to the coaches from the 2005 Pony Devil Rays and the 2006 Minor Diamond Jaxx who gave Christopher so much confidence that he could stand up there and face his fears and be an important team player. With that being said, we say Goodbye at this time to an era in the Thordsen house. Christopher has decided that band and Boy Scouts are the important things he wishes to pursue and has decided to “Retire” from Little League. Patrick Thordsen who wishes to thank Coach Ray Adcock has decided baseball is not his thing and wishes to pursue Cub Scouts at this time. We love Donelson Little League and wish you all nothing but the greatest success in the future. Don’t be surprised if we show up for a visit, we still have many friends there. Thank you so much for everything.
Sincerely,
Joe, Helga, Christopher, and Patrick Thordsen

I have a 3 year old who loves baseball and is wanting to play. He will not be 4 until July. Is there any way he could play spring or fall ball or do you know of somewhere he could play?? Thanks for the help.
